CmxSyllabusPod: "Arrowsmith," "Buckhead," "Discipline"

Posted here late (sorry!): January 23's Comics Syllabus Podcast episode

To Substackscribers: Apologies that I didn’t post this podcast episode here a couple weeks ago. I intend for the Substack here to feature more episodes of the podcast, not fewer! But in the late-night rush of posting two weeks ago, I somehow forgot to post this episode here. So here it is….

Back from a winter break, we (eventually) dive into Kurt Busiek and Carlos Pacheco's return to "Arrowsmith: Behind Enemy Lines" from Image Comics. First we touch bases with "Usagi Yojimbo," open The Book of Boba Fett, revisit "Shadow Hero," and then round the corner into the return to Busiek and Pacheco's storyworld of a fantasy-infused World War I.

We also talk about recent runs of comics we're reading, like "Action Comics," "Amazing Spider-Man," Dash Shaw's "Discipline" from New York Review Books, and "Buckhead" by Shofo and George Kambadais (Boom!). Let's dig deep!
