Tipping My Grad Cap to the Multiversity

Been a long time! But the Comics Syllabus Substack is coming back. In what form? At what pace? We shall see…

First, though, a tip of the hat to Multiversity Comics, which just announced it’s closing up shop. Soon, I’ll pay a more extended tribute and thank individuals there who’ve been great comics friends. But suffice it to say, it was a long run of exceptionally fruitful work in comics coverage by extremely knowledgeable, dedicated readers. My admiration and gratitude.

My last piece published there is a review of Gene Luen Yang and LeUyen Pham’s Lunar New Year Love Story. Beautiful book. Check it out!

In the meantime, stay on the lookout for a (slow… modest…) return for Comics Syllabus, perhaps with a reframed schedule and mission.
